Thank you to Alanna Davies, Cheryl Agius and Jesse Allmey-Marcina who donated a total of $200 directly to the Cancer Council for this event

In honour of Juanita Hamilton

I have pledged to walk 65km to honour my mum, who lost her life to cancer right before what would have been her 65th birthday.

My mum was born on the 6th May, naturally a favourite number of hers was 6. But once diagnosed, 6 months was the length of time she was given until cancer ultimately took her life.

Her cancer started in the lung and metastasised to her spine, the tumor crushing her from the inside out. Watching someone die in excruciating pain is hard for anyone to bear and I hope my efforts will help support lifesaving research, prevention programs and patient support services for women living with breast and gynaecological cancer.

Being a mother of a 3 year old and 3 month old, my target of 65kms in 7 days will be tough but realistic... since my children will be coming along with me!

Thank you for your support
